Brooding training programme

Two weeks at Selous - learn brooding hands-on

Every new Tiru Fresh network farmer attends a two-week practical training at our Selous facility. You learn day-by-day brooding management, FarmIQ daily logging, biosecurity, and vaccination protocols with experienced poultry professionals.

How it works

From joining the network to getting paid

We work with dressed chicken producers only. Birds go to a licensed abattoir and are delivered as dressed chickens - that is what our buyers require and what gets you the best price.

This is not contract farming
In contract farming, inputs (feed, chicks) are provided to you and you earn a growing fee. We do not operate that way. You own your project. You fund your inputs. You keep your birds and your profits. We give you access to a market, bulk feed pricing, the FarmIQ platform, and technical support. Your operation is yours.

Join the network
Apply with your farm details. Minimum 2,000 birds per batch. We assess your setup and confirm eligibility.

Farm assessment
Our team visits your farm and reviews your infrastructure, water, power, and housing. We identify what needs improving before your first batch.

Training & setup
Two weeks at Selous learning practical brooding. FarmIQ is activated on your farm. Your workers are trained on daily logging and biosecurity.

Production monitoring
Every batch tracked in FarmIQ - mortality, feed, weight vs Cobb 500 targets. You get alerts. We get alerts. Problems are caught early.

Market delivery
When birds reach target weight, we coordinate slaughter at our abattoir partners and delivery to buyers. You do not need to find a market.

Payment & reporting
Payment by USD bank transfer. You receive a Grower Performance Report for the batch with data on FCR, mortality, cost per bird, and recommendations for the next cycle.
